About

The route from my first day of college to today, and how I take an idea all the way to a running app.

The route so far

  1. January 2025

    Day one at Algonquin College

I started the Computer Programming diploma in Ottawa and dove straight into databases, enterprise Java and business intelligence.

  2. April 2025

    Counting votes as a volunteer

I served as a scrutineer at the Local Election Office in Ottawa, watching the count closely so every ballot was handled the right way. It taught me to stay careful and calm when accuracy matters most.

  3. June to October 2025

Keeping a law office's files in order

At Tamanna Pandit Law Professional Corporation I worked as a file handler, where one misplaced document can hold up a whole case. I learned to keep detailed work organised and to follow through on every task.

  4. September 2025

    Showing new students the way

As a Student Support Volunteer, a Way Finder at Algonquin College, I helped new students find their classes and their footing on campus. Pointing people to the right place turned out to be good practice for explaining technical things clearly.

  5. May to August 2026

A real client and a team of five

As Software Developer and Group Leader for Nettoyage Eco Vert, I led the team building a cleaning rotation tracking web app and I was the client's main contact. I wrote the Python, Flask and PostgreSQL backend and tested it with pytest, so new features didn't break old ones.

  6. Summer 2026

An agent that writes to me first

I built the WHOOP Health Intelligence Agent, which reads my sleep and recovery data and emails me a daily summary written by Claude. It was my first project where the AI starts the conversation.

  7. July 2026

Earned the Introduction to DevOps certificate

I completed IBM's Introduction to DevOps course, which tied together the build and deploy tools I had been using in class.

  8. August 2026

    Graduated with distinction

I finished with a 3.76 GPA and earned Dean's Honours in three semesters.

How I take an idea to a running app

Making it

  1. Build

Python is where I start. Java, C, JavaScript and TypeScript join in when the job asks. On the web, React draws the screen and Flask handles the logic behind it.

  2. Store

Data goes into PostgreSQL or Oracle when it fits in tables, MongoDB when it looks like documents, and Neo4j when what matters is how things connect.

  3. Think

For the smart parts I use the Claude API and LangChain, and I build agents that decide their own next step.

Trusting it and running it

  1. Test

Before anything ships, pytest, Playwright and Postman try to break it.

  2. Ship

Git, Jenkins, SonarQube and Nexus carry the code from my laptop to a finished build, and Docker and Kubernetes package it up.

  3. Run

It lives on AWS, where I've used Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and Amplify to run apps without a server to babysit.
